A lack of understanding often leads to frustration in mediations.

General Counsel Mediations was formed as a result of conversations with numerous General Counsel and private practice attorneys centering around the need to have a mediator that not only understands business today but understands the business involved in the mediation

A Mediator for You

Todd Silberman has served as General Counsel working within many industries, including insurance, trucking, real estate, sports, and others, for nearly 20 years. In that time, he handled thousands of negotiations and disputes, including personal injury matters, employment claims, commercial and contract disputes, to name just a few.

Todd has referred to himself as a “Corporate Generalist” since his in-house role required him to handle all facets of business and law at any given time.

He is a graduate of the University of Florida, South Texas College of Law, and has taken the Texas mediator training courses. He has served as chair of multiple boards, including the Corporate Counsel Section of the State Bar of Texas and is a certified official for USA Swimming.

Currently, Todd travels throughout the United States to assist with litigation and pre-litigation disputes and help bring them to resolution.

I have known Todd professionally for over 20 years, and have had the opportunity to work with as well as for him.  Over the years.  I’ve had the pleasure of trying a jury case where he was the client representative for a motor carrier, and during the litigation of that case, through discovery and ultimately at trial, Todd showed a great understanding as to both the plaintiff’s  side as well as the defense side of that lawsuit.  His assistance in trial preparation, understanding the issues, and evaluating the case as well as making the final decision to try the case were,  I’m certain, instrumental in a good result in the case at trial.  Since that time, I have continued to work with him on other cases, and again, his insight into the various aspects of a case, from both a defense and plaintiff perspective has proved of great assistance to me as counsel.  He has been instrumental in getting cases settled, and I’m certain that Todd would objectively assess all sides of a pending action, and that his insight would be of great assistance to counsel as well as parties, whether they be individuals, or companies, in facilitating resolution of disputes.
